Develops, tests, installs, and integrates advanced aircraft sensors for next-generation aviation programs. Responsibilities include modeling sensors in MATLAB and Simulink, creating test campaigns with dSpace, Speedgoat, and LabVIEW, troubleshooting communication protocols and hardware, supporting electrical and software integration, participating in technical reviews, and producing release drawings and schematics. The role is fully onsite in Camarillo, California.

The Chief Engineer serves as the senior technical authority for fly-by-wire flight control systems, leading architecture, technical planning, cross-functional engineering execution, risk mitigation, requirements, design decisions, testing, and certification. The role coordinates software, hardware, systems, flight operations, suppliers, regulators, and certification teams to take SkyOS from concept through deployment on the R66 aircraft while ensuring safety, performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Supports systems-level testing and integration of avionics systems and subsystems in laboratory and aircraft environments. Responsibilities include writing and executing test procedures, maintaining test documentation and bills of materials, integrating and troubleshooting harnesses and wiring, supporting environmental and EMI/EMC testing, documenting anomalies, assisting root-cause analysis, and coordinating with cross-functional engineering and supplier teams.
