The role requires strong customer-facing communication, sales and customer success skills, and high-level French and English proficiency. Candidates must be based in Barcelona.

Leads a small data engineering team while remaining hands-on with cloud data platform design and delivery. Responsibilities include architecting pipelines, data modeling, ETL/ELT, platform reliability, observability, data quality, infrastructure as code, production support, and stakeholder collaboration. The role also involves coaching engineers, setting technical standards, managing incidents, translating business needs into data products, and improving scalability, security, performance, and cost efficiency across Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, AWS, Python, and SQL.

Build, test, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models using Python, PySpark, Databricks, and AWS. Lead data platform features from architecture through deployment, implement CI/CD and monitoring, optimize workloads and cloud costs, and ensure data quality, security, and governance. Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers while taking technical ownership of major platform components.
