The News Editor assigns, shapes, and edits neuroscience news, enterprise stories, profiles, scoops, and accountability pieces. Responsibilities include managing staff and freelance contributors, overseeing copyediting and fact-checking, recruiting interns and reporters, ensuring diverse coverage, collaborating on visuals and data graphics, and helping set editorial priorities. The role requires strong science journalism experience, familiarity with neuroscience research and policy, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Build and maintain HumanBase by translating computational biology research into scalable production systems and data pipelines. Design, implement, and optimize genomics and biomedical data processing workflows, integrate ML methods, ensure SDLC best practices, collaborate with scientists, and support production operations and infrastructure improvements.
