Oversees project editors, workflows, critical paths, schedules, budgets, metadata, systems, backlist processes, suppliers, freelancers, and team capability. Partners with publishers to improve efficiency, maintain editorial quality, support authors and agents, and ensure publishing programmes are delivered on time and within budget.

Leads nonfiction acquisitions and editorial development for Atria Books, identifying authors and concepts, evaluating proposals, negotiating deals, guiding manuscripts through publication, and shaping commercial publishing strategies. Collaborates with marketing, publicity, sales, design, production, and rights teams; monitors market trends and sales performance; develops author relationships; mentors editorial colleagues; and balances creative vision with financial and scheduling considerations.

Build modern .NET worker services, APIs, T-SQL solutions, and web interfaces replacing legacy COBOL batch systems. Review and validate AI-generated code, implement logging and restartability patterns, support parallel validation and production cutovers, troubleshoot system differences, and improve engineering standards. The role requires production ownership, strong SQL and full-stack development skills, and collaboration with QA and legacy-system specialists.
