Teams at Simbe Robotics

Supports mechanical design, CAD documentation, prototyping, bench testing, manufacturing improvements, reliability analysis, and root-cause investigations for Simbe’s Tally autonomous robot. Collaborates with hardware, software, manufacturing, and operations teams while owning a defined technical project and presenting results. This full-time internship is intended for students pursuing mechanical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, product design, or related fields.

Interns will design, implement, test, debug, and document robotics software in C++ and Python within a Linux and ROS/ROS2 environment. They will contribute to scoped projects involving autonomy, navigation, perception, hardware integration, testing, or developer infrastructure. The role includes debugging hardware-software issues, code reviews, cross-functional collaboration, project communication, and a final presentation. Interns work full time onsite in Burlingame, California, with mentorship and structured feedback.

Work full time on a defined data science and analytics project using production robot, retail, and operational data. Responsibilities include SQL and Python analysis, BigQuery and dbt workflows, dimensional modeling, dashboard development, data-quality validation, analytical insights, and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders. Interns present their project and results at the end of the program.
