Designs and supports outside plant telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber transport, distribution, and customer access networks. Independently manages projects from field investigation through permitting, construction support, and closeout. Develops routes, engineering drawings, estimates, work orders, GIS records, and as-built documentation. Coordinates with contractors, utilities, municipalities, property owners, and internal teams while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations. Provides field troubleshooting, construction inspection, network planning, and technical guidance.

Supports the planning, design, documentation, field verification, and construction inspection of outside plant telecommunications infrastructure. Assists with fiber optic route plans, work orders, maps, GIS records, cost estimates, permits, and facility documentation. Conducts site surveys, coordinates with contractors and utilities, verifies completed work, and supports field personnel under experienced engineering supervision. The role develops foundational knowledge of OSP design, construction practices, mapping systems, safety requirements, and telecommunications engineering standards.
