Manages state, local, federal, and Alaska-specific tax compliance, including filings, payments, audits, licensing, property taxes, sales taxes, B&O taxes, and K-1 distributions. Researches tax regulations, identifies savings opportunities, maintains tax databases, supports audits, and recommends compliant tax strategies. Requires strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, advanced Excel and ERP proficiency, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Leads facility accounting for plant operations, including monthly close, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost accounting, CapEx evaluations, inventory reconciliation, and AP/AR. Audits bills of materials, labor routings, and pricing codes; monitors manufacturing costs and inventory exposure; ensures GAAP compliance and strong internal controls. Partners with plant and corporate leadership to provide financial insights, support operational decisions, and maintain confidentiality.

Leads on-site HR operations for a multi-entity seafood organization, advising managers and employees on workplace matters, investigations, performance management, compliance, benefits, leave, payroll, safety, recruiting, and onboarding. Ensures compliance with federal and multi-state employment laws, maintains audit-ready records, supports audits and process improvement, and partners with corporate teams. The role requires strong judgment, communication, regulatory expertise, and hands-on support at the West Seattle facility.
