Operates foundry furnaces to melt and pour metal alloys according to work orders and metallurgical specifications. Responsibilities include verifying materials, selecting melt procedures, monitoring temperatures, skimming slag, collecting samples, adjusting equipment controls, recording production data, inspecting defects, and following safety and quality procedures. The role requires physical work, including frequent standing and lifting up to 50 pounds. Prior melt experience is preferred, but training is available.

Perform deburring, grinding, polishing, buffing and straightening of metal parts to blueprint specs using hand and powered tools. Set up and maintain finishing equipment, inspect and measure parts with gauges and micrometers, record production data in the ERP, follow SOPs, and maintain a safe, clean work area. Report safety or quality issues and meet production targets under supervisor direction.
