The Staff Accountant manages accounts payable and receivable, reconciles bank, credit card, logistics, and operational data, supports financial close processes, and handles partner billing. The role tracks restricted grant expenditures, maintains audit-ready records, monitors overdue accounts, and supports funder compliance. It also serves as a finance contact for internal and external stakeholders while ensuring accurate financial data and strong internal controls.

Owns multistate HR compliance, employment registrations, policies, leave administration, employee records, audits, training, workers’ compensation, OSHA recordkeeping, statutory reporting, and HR governance. Builds compliance frameworks and documentation from scratch, supports employee relations and investigations, audits HRIS data, and partners with leadership and Safety/Fleet on driver compliance. Requires discretion, strong organization, employment-law knowledge, and independent judgment in a fully remote, rapidly scaling organization.

Owns multistate HR compliance, employment registrations, leave administration, employee records, audits, policies, training, workers’ compensation, OSHA reporting, and statutory filings. Builds HR compliance frameworks, SOPs, governance documentation, and annual compliance calendars from scratch. Conducts employee relations processes, supports investigations, maintains HRIS accuracy, and assists with DOT and FMCSA driver compliance. Partners with leadership to mitigate risk and ensure consistent policy application across a distributed workforce.
