Leads the Budgeting & Reporting and Payments & Procurement teams, overseeing financial and budget ledgers, annual accounts, forecasting, management reporting, audit coordination, month-end processes, banking transactions, drawdowns, internal controls, and procurement functions. The role also develops the finance team, manages the SUN finance system, supports senior management and committees, and ensures effective accounting and budget management across substantial public funds.

Advises senior management, executives, committees, the Board, and Scottish Government stakeholders; coordinates spending review submissions; oversees forecasts, risks, affordability, and resource allocation. The role also supports funding reform, leads finance service improvement and team development, presents complex financial information clearly, and deputises for the Deputy Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
