Assists the Manufacturing Engineering team with production support, process improvement, data analysis, technical reporting, automation, standardization, tooling, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. The intern collaborates across Operations, Quality, Program Management, Design Engineering, Purchasing, and other departments, completing at least one primary project and presenting results. The role is designed to prepare candidates for future Manufacturing Engineering or other technical positions.

Performs precision assembly, fitting, finishing, testing, brazing, polishing, marking, and cleaning of high-value metal components. Interprets engineering drawings, works to tight tolerances, maintains shop-order records, meets production schedules, raises quality concerns, and maintains a clean work area. Requires at least three years of skilled metalworking and finishing experience, assembly expertise, knowledge of special metals, and the right to work in the UK.

Analyze, test, qualify, and validate aircraft Environmental Control Systems, low-pressure air-conditioning ducting, and insulation products. Prepare technical documentation and reports demonstrating compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements. Support product development, qualification programs, testing, production activities, and customer communication while ensuring airworthiness, safety, quality, and manufacturing standards are met.
