Protective Security Officers secure federally owned or occupied facilities by monitoring surveillance systems, controlling access, patrolling premises, screening personnel and vehicles, responding to alarms and emergencies, enforcing security procedures, preparing incident reports, and providing first aid when needed. The role requires armed security or law enforcement experience, military service, or equivalent qualifying background, along with firearms authorization, a driver’s license, medical fitness, background screening, and security clearance eligibility.
