Design and fabricate mechanical parts, assemblies, fixtures, tooling, and jigs for unmanned surface vessels. Responsibilities include CAD configuration management, BOM development, supplier sourcing and communication, production-process improvements, incoming-part assembly and quality assurance, and component testing. The engineer will work under senior mentorship while developing ownership of mechanical design and fabrication projects.

Owns external and internal project execution, including customer contracts, government and military exercises, and maritime robotics initiatives. Develops plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and risk mitigations; tracks costs and hours; supports proposals; coordinates matrixed engineering, production, fleet, and business development teams; manages customer relationships; and delivers project documentation. Requires government-contract project management experience, customer-facing communication, Microsoft tools proficiency, U.S. person status, security-clearance eligibility, and 25–35% travel.

Lead development, training, optimization, and edge deployment of perception models for maritime autonomous vehicles. Curate fleet data, run measurable ML experiments, build data pipelines, establish evaluation frameworks, and integrate models with vehicle software to validate real-time performance on embedded hardware.
