Build and own full-stack features for a global peer-to-peer learning platform. Responsibilities include defining problems with users and stakeholders, developing prototypes and experiments, writing maintainable code, coordinating contributions, deploying products, and improving existing systems. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, pair programming, product ideation, and technical decisions balancing speed, quality, safety, and user experience.

Lead strategic 0-to-1 initiatives supporting Schoolhouse’s 2028 vision, manage high-stakes relationships with partners and donors, and run the organization’s operating rhythm. The Chief of Staff will report to the President, drive cross-functional projects, improve workflows, support HR, legal, and finance activities, oversee hiring processes, and plan team retreats. The role requires strong judgment, communication, ownership, and comfort operating in ambiguity at a fast-growing nonprofit.
