Responsibilities include designing distributed systems and APIs, scaling infrastructure and GPU capacity, integrating ML innovations into production, extending secure multi-tenant architecture, improving observability, load testing deployments, and mentoring engineers. The role requires operating cloud software at scale, making infrastructure tradeoffs, and setting technical direction.
