Oversee day-to-day operations of the Bahde Wildlife Center, supervising rehabilitation, admissions, satellite care, volunteers, and education. Manage budgets, inventory, animal movements, and euthanasia procedures per AVMA guidelines while training, coaching, and evaluating staff and volunteers.

Lead and supervise Humane Officers to enforce animal-related laws and ordinances, investigate cruelty/neglect complaints, issue citations, prepare cases and warrants, humanely handle and transport animals, and educate the public. Serve across San Diego County and support selection, training, evaluation, and discipline of officers.

Assist veterinarians and RVTs with exams, treatments, surgeries, dental cleanings, lab tests, and euthanasia. Prepare and clean surgery and prep rooms, maintain medical equipment and supplies, administer medications and vaccines, monitor animal health pre/post-procedure, and move animals as needed under veterinary direction.

Provide clinical support to veterinarians in a shelter setting: administer treatments and anesthetics, assist with exams and surgeries, monitor patients, perform emergency procedures within RVT scope, and help train staff, volunteers, and interns to deliver high-quality animal care.

Supervise day-to-day foster program operations across Escondido and Oceanside campuses. Manage and schedule Foster Specialists, provide hands-on animal care and training, monitor animal health and recommend pathways including euthanasia when appropriate, maintain program standards and cleanliness, build relationships with fosters to maximize lifesaving, and ensure staff development and compliance with policies.
