Lead next-generation NPU subsystem architecture for Samsung SoCs, including architectural exploration, microarchitecture, performance and power modeling, workload analysis, and hardware-software co-optimization. Develop cycle-accurate and analytical models, map AI workloads to NPU capabilities, define architecture specifications, and collaborate with hardware, software, driver, OS, and system teams to deliver high-performance, low-power solutions.

Develops external technology partnerships for Samsung’s mobile and wearable ecosystem. Identifies startups and emerging technologies, evaluates technical and commercial fit, builds business cases, leads proof-of-concepts, and supports commercialization, investment, or M&A opportunities. The role coordinates cross-functional and global teams, defines innovative consumer experiences, communicates recommendations to executives, and manages partner relationships across startups, investors, universities, and Samsung R&D organizations.

Lead Samsung’s vision, multimodal, agentic, and deep learning research strategy. Direct advanced AI R&D, guide global collaborations, drive top-tier publications and patents, and transfer research into consumer products and services. Build and develop internationally distributed teams, establish long-term innovation priorities, attract leading researchers and engineers, and elevate Samsung’s AI Center through influential research, conferences, workshops, and open challenges.
