Design and build payment-critical backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Ensure correctness, reliability, security, and performance under load; develop integrations and event-driven flows; write automated tests; maintain engineering standards; and mentor mid-level engineers. The role requires hands-on fintech and payment processor experience, strong microservices and REST API design, transactional integrity expertise, containerization, CI/CD, and daily use of AI coding tools.

Lead backend engineering for payment-critical services using Java and Spring Boot. Design APIs, maintain code quality, enforce testing and release readiness, and ensure service reliability and security. Mentor backend engineers while collaborating with architecture and product teams. The role requires hands-on fintech and payment gateway experience, microservices, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code.

Own end-to-end accounting operations for Salla’s Dubai branch, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, payables, receivables, invoicing, collections, payments, payroll accounting, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, tax compliance, reporting, and month-end close. The role also establishes financial controls and procedures, supports audits, coordinates with external stakeholders, and serves as the finance contact for branch management and the Saudi-based Controllership team.
