Sahyadri

Sahyadri is an independent Layer-1 blockchain project focused on building sovereign digital infrastructure for the next generation of decentralized applications. The protocol is being developed from the ground up with an emphasis on security, scalability, and long-term sustainability rather than short-term trends. The project combines Proof-of-Work, deterministic DAG ordering, post-quantum cryptography research, decentralized identity, and high-performance systems engineering to create infrastructure designed for a future where digital sovereignty, transparency, and security become increasingly important. Current development focuses on native Rust-based protocol engineering, distributed systems, blockchain networking, wallet infrastructure, explorer services, developer tooling, mining architecture, STARK-based verification research, and ML-DSA (CRYSTALS-Dilithium) integration. Sahyadri is designed to support real-world payments, decentralized identity, Web5 concepts, developer platforms, financial infrastructure, and enterprise-grade blockchain applications through an open and scalable architecture. Our long-term vision extends beyond a blockchain network. We aim to build a complete ecosystem including developer tools, wallets, APIs, infrastructure services, identity systems, and future consumer products that enable users to securely own their digital assets and identities. Rather than modifying an existing blockchain framework, Sahyadri is focused on building its own protocol and technology stack with an emphasis on performance, simplicity, and long-term protocol evolution.
