Provides VAT compliance services and tax advice to multinational clients across multiple jurisdictions. Responsibilities include analyzing transaction data, preparing and submitting VAT declarations, communicating with clients and tax authorities, managing registrations and deregistrations, supporting audits, researching legislative changes, and developing client reports and advisory communications. Fluent English and French are required, with a degree in law, management, or economics preferred.

Supervises U.S.-based and offshore billing teams, coordinating workloads, training staff, resolving billing issues, and ensuring accurate, timely invoices. Reviews contracts, billing terms, and engagement setups; supports managers and principals; monitors controls and documentation; identifies process gaps; and recommends workflow improvements. The role also supports accounting-system upgrades, invoice approvals, reporting, and operational issue resolution while directly supervising employees.

Provides sales and use tax advisory services through client engagements, including tax reviews, audit defense, ERP and compliance support, tax matrix development, appeals, voluntary disclosures, and consulting. Presents tax seminars and workshops, analyzes assessments, recommends appeal strategies, supports clients on secondment, and assists with peer review. Requires strong Canadian commodity tax knowledge, professional accounting credentials or substantial tax experience, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, and up to 25% travel.
