Teams at Rutherford County Library System

Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day administration for a six-branch public library system. Responsibilities include long-range planning, budgeting, personnel and facilities oversight, community and government relations, policy development, performance reporting, and representing the library to stakeholders and professional organizations. Leads strategic plan implementation, supervises managers, and advocates for library services across municipalities.

Drive and operate the bookmobile on assigned routes, circulate and move library materials, assist patrons, support outreach and programming, maintain inventory and perform vehicle inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance.

Manage technical services department including selection and acquisition of library materials, cataloging accuracy, collection maintenance and weeding, vendor negotiations, budget monitoring, reporting and data analysis, and staff coordination to ensure collections meet community needs and legal requirements.
