Teams at Rural Metro Fire

Perform wildland fire prevention, pre-fire assessment, and suppression tasks. Maintain station and equipment, participate in training, public outreach, and extended deployments (14–21 days). Operate vehicles and tools safely and complete required NWCG/FEMA courses and certifications.

Participate in wildland fire prevention, mitigation, pre-fire assessment and suppression. Maintain station and apparatus, conduct safety checks and pre-fire inspections, train, support public outreach, operate vehicles and tools safely, and deploy to incidents (14–21 days). Must complete required NWCG/FEMA courses and Capstone PTB, pass a work-capacity test and background check.

Oversee inspection, testing, and minor repairs of fire protection systems (standpipes, PIVs, fixed monitors, hydrants, stationary fire pumps) ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, state, and company standards; coordinate scheduled monthly/quarterly/annual testing and maintenance; perform pump runs, PIV cycling, hydrant flowing/flushing; report to site Rural Metro Fire Chief; daytime weekday shift.
