Using Data For Good

Working at RS21 isn’t just about developing software and machine learning algorithms — it’s about delivering solutions with the potential to make an impact. Here, a diverse range of data, technology, design and subject matter experts build solutions that help decision-makers use data insights to enhance cancer research and health equity, improve space resiliency, and better fortify against risks that affect critical infrastructure and emergency response. Whether they’re modernizing systems for state and local agencies dedicated to providing public services or deploying AI-powered software at the Johnson Space Center for satellite fault prediction, RS21s all contribute to the mission upon which the company was built: to use data for good.

Employee Reviews

Brady Key

The freedom that we have to solve problems in a hyper customer-focused way sets us apart.

Brady Key, Director of Development

For Brady Key, it isn’t solely technology that makes RS21 unique. “When we have the freedom to solve problems by uncovering customers’ pain points, trust is cultivated, giving us the ability to suggest out-of-the-box solutions,” he said. Key is a lead developer for Quaro, a suite of web applications the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s office uses in New Mexico. Embracing an Agile mindset, he and his peers build client relationships based upon delivering tangible value. This approach enables Key’s team to deliver fully functional and viable products at the end of every release.

Rafael Picco

Working on meaningful projects that have the potential to create a positive change in the world has always been important to me.

Rafael Picco, Senior UX/UI Designer

For Rafael Picco, the greatest part about working at RS21 is knowing the impact his work has on people’s lives. He works primarily on CRIIS, the company’s cancer research integrated informatics system, while supporting projects defending against cyberattacks and other threats. Picco said he feels empowered to contribute meaningfully to the development of digital products while prioritizing the customer experience. He owes the success of his endeavors to the experts who work alongside him. “New and exciting ideas come out of collaborating with people from different backgrounds,” Picco said.
