Design and maintain scalable cloud AI infrastructure, collaborate with research teams on model requirements, improve data pipelines and feature stores, support experiment tracking and model lifecycle workflows, build reproducibility and benchmarking tools, and enhance monitoring and reliability across AI services. The role also contributes to architecture, platform strategy, cross-functional product alignment, and documentation.

Lead sourcing-focused AI research initiatives from problem framing and dataset creation through experimentation, production modeling, and deployment. Develop recommendation, forecasting, optimization, multimodal document understanding, and decision systems using Coupa’s proprietary T-LLM foundations. Establish labels, benchmarks, baselines, and trustworthy evaluation while optimizing inference cost, latency, robustness, and production impact. Provide technical leadership, mentor researchers and engineers, and collaborate with Product, Sourcing, data, and AI Platform teams.

Lead end-to-end sourcing research initiatives, from framing problems and creating trustworthy datasets to experimentation, evaluation, and production deployment. Develop models for supplier recommendation, forecasting, should-cost analysis, auction and mechanism design, allocation optimization, and multimodal document understanding. Collaborate with product, data, and AI platform teams while optimizing inference cost, latency, robustness, and real-world decision quality.
