Teams at Roots Community Health Center

Directs finance and accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, grant and contract accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, compliance, and cash-flow management. Partners with HR and program leaders, supports the CFO with financial strategy, enforces internal controls, and mentors the finance team. Requires nonprofit fund accounting expertise, advanced Sage Intacct and Excel skills, and experience with payroll, audits, and grant reporting.

Provide accounts receivable and donor/grant revenue accounting support for a nonprofit: invoicing, payment processing, reconciliations, bank deposits, month/year-end close assistance, reporting, collections, compliance with grant/donor restrictions, data management in accounting and fundraising systems, and support for audits and process improvements.

Manage and administer workforce development programs: ensure compliance, track participant and staff data, analyze reimbursement and leveraging metrics, develop program evaluation and policies, coordinate projects and vendors, support staff training, reporting, budgeting, QA, and funder communications. On-site role with Bay Area travel.
