Coordinates resident assessments, MDS data submission, care plan updates, documentation review, interdisciplinary meetings, regulatory compliance, quality reporting, and ancillary data collection in a skilled nursing setting. Requires a current nursing license, geriatric nursing experience, strong assessment and documentation skills, regulatory knowledge, and effective communication.

The Charge Nurse leads nurse aides, administers medications and treatments, implements resident care plans, transcribes physician orders, documents care, and completes nursing assessments. The role participates in shift reports, educates support staff, maintains infection-control and safety standards, responds to emergencies, and arranges replacement staff when needed. Candidates must be licensed RNs or LVNs in good standing with strong assessment, documentation, communication, organization, and clinical response skills.
