Leads natural resources and environmental permitting projects, managing budgets, schedules, regulatory coordination, fieldwork, technical reports, permit applications, client presentations, and staff mentoring. Supports hazardous materials, stormwater, restoration, and stream and wetland mitigation projects. Develops proposals, scopes, and estimates while cultivating new business. The role requires North Carolina regulatory expertise, extensive natural resources permitting experience, and occasional outdoor field inspections at construction sites.

Coordinates meetings and events from scheduling through follow-up, including room setup, audio-visual technology support, participant communication, documentation, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and post-meeting activities. The role requires experience with conference room systems, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and related collaboration technologies. Occasional travel to company offices may be required to support meeting technology and event logistics.

Designs bridges, box culverts, retaining walls, and related transportation structures from preliminary concepts through construction plans. Performs bridge load ratings, geometric layouts, quantity development, inspections under NBIS guidelines, and inspection reporting. Reviews junior engineers’ calculations and drawings, collaborates across disciplines, mentors staff, and supports business development. The role requires an engineering degree, EIT registration, structural or bridge engineering experience, and familiarity with structural design software.
