Operations Manager supports the General Manager in leading a client-based warehouse and transportation operation. Responsibilities include supervising employees, managing dispatching and routing, coordinating third-party transportation, enforcing safety and compliance, improving labor and operational efficiency, maintaining client and vendor relationships, implementing Lean warehouse practices, and achieving daily facility goals. The role is primarily office- and warehouse-based and may involve regional travel, extended hours, and occasional physical handling.

Designs data-driven middle-mile and final-mile logistics networks, pricing models, and financial solutions using client data, Python, and SQL. Forecasts labor, facility, and transportation costs to protect margins; validates models against warehouse operations, seasonal demand, SLAs, and bottlenecks. Supports system setup, API integrations, account implementations, and onsite start-ups while bridging commercial pricing with post-launch operations and margin performance.

Supervises outbound warehouse and delivery operations, including route monitoring, carrier communications, customer notifications, scheduling, settlements, compliance reporting, claims processing, audits, and returns. Supports carrier recruiting and onboarding, resolves client escalations, monitors service standards, and identifies process discrepancies. The role combines warehouse-floor leadership with office-based coordination and requires strong communication, customer service, conflict-resolution, and operational supervision skills.
