RIFT (Renewable Iron Fuel Technology) is a Dutch cleantech company founded in 2020 as a spin-off from Eindhoven University of Technology. It develops circular Iron Fuel Technology that decarbonizes industrial heat by burning iron powder as a carbon-free, rechargeable fuel, with the resulting rust regenerated back into fuel using low-carbon hydrogen. In 2026 it secured €114 million to build the world's first commercial iron fuel production facility.
