Teams at Richland County Government

Directs and supervises the Planning Services Division, leading comprehensive land use and neighborhood planning, zoning and regulatory updates, and master plans. Manages staff, budgets, research, public outreach, stakeholder coordination, and prepares reports and policy recommendations to the Planning Commission and County Council.

Represents indigent adults and juveniles in less-serious criminal cases; investigates cases; meets clients and witnesses; reviews discovery; prepares and argues motions and trials; negotiates pleas; coordinates with social services; handles court appearances and filings; completes required SCCID training.

Performs clerical tasks for legal matters: handles legal documents, types forms and letters, maintains files and correspondence, and applies established procedures while maintaining strict confidentiality and passing a thorough background check.
