Associate Counsel will support commercial contracting, contract lifecycle management, corporate governance, entity administration, regulatory compliance, product and marketing counseling, consumer financial services, collections, and litigation coordination. The role requires partnering cross-functionally with compliance, operations, product, and business teams; maintaining governance records; improving legal processes, templates, and playbooks; advising on privacy, insurance, finance, and debt collection regulations; and providing practical legal guidance in a fast-growing, remote-first company.

Lead month-end close, prepare GAAP financial statements, manage complex accounting (ASC 606, insurance premiums/claims), reconcile high-volume transactions, support audits, improve controls, mentor staff, and partner with cross-functional teams on reporting and projects.

Lead a small data engineering team while contributing hands-on to design, build, and maintain production data pipelines, warehouse, ETL, and BI stack. Own data reliability, governance, reporting (internal and actuarial), enable self-service analytics, consolidate analytics standards, and drive infrastructure/vendor decisions aligned to business goals.
