Own end-to-end talent acquisition for Relay’s Operations and Business teams. Partner with senior stakeholders, develop hiring strategies, manage sourcing through offers, maintain Ashby pipelines, create job descriptions and interview materials, track recruiting metrics, and improve hiring processes, tooling, speed, quality, and candidate experience in a hypergrowth startup environment.

Own the operative supply funnel across sortation sites, from applicant acquisition through qualification, training, activation, and retention. Forecast staffing demand, optimize paid acquisition and training capacity, improve compliance and onboarding, reduce cancellations and inactivity, and build SQL-based reporting, automation, and alerts. Partner with site teams, Live Operations, Product, and Engineering to keep staffing ahead of demand and fill shifts reliably.

Own complex employee relations cases from investigation through resolution, advise site managers, manage employment-law risks, and prepare for tribunals. Build scalable ER processes and frameworks across multiple operational sites, using case data to identify trends and improve policies, training, escalation routes, and early-warning indicators. The role requires strong communication, UK employment law knowledge, and regular travel to sortation centres.
