Lead Aquatics Specialist delivers swim instruction and lifeguarding (90% direct service), coaches competitive swim team, implements YMCA swim curriculum (levels 4-6), oversees private lesson operations, hires/trains and supervises aquatic staff, enforces safety protocols, and supports events and cross-department needs.

Provide front-desk member service, greet and check in members, answer phones, handle cash transactions, support member retention and wellness initiatives, complete incident reports, and promote a positive member experience while following YMCA policies and training requirements.

The Aquatics Specialist ensures safety at the pool, provides lifeguarding services, and teaches swim lessons to participants.
