Staff Accountant III prepares journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, accounting schedules, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. The role supports audits, fixed asset accounting, variance analysis, process improvements, and resolution of complex accounting issues. It collaborates with multiple internal departments and requires independent work under deadlines, with knowledge of GAAP and accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

Supervise AP/JIB staff and review invoices, joint interest billings, payments, coding, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. Manage AR postings, AFEs, payout worksheets, well setup, vendor onboarding, budgeting support, and regulatory reporting for an oil and gas accounting operation. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant financial records while supporting corporate and field personnel.
