Develops behavioral models, testbenches, regression environments, and RTL verification for optical engine control systems before silicon availability. Responsibilities include validating state machines, bring-up sequences, link training, calibration, fault recovery, firmware interactions, and PVT and aging corner cases. The role also correlates simulations with lab measurements and collaborates with ASIC and firmware teams. Required expertise includes SystemVerilog, RTL simulation tools, control sequencing, and Python or MATLAB automation.

Develops and tests electrical and optical hardware for advanced fiber-optic communication modules. Responsibilities include optical system bring-up, validation, debugging, calibration, characterization, lab setup, automated test scripting, root-cause analysis, test planning, reporting, and collaboration with photonics, hardware, software, marketing, and external equipment vendors.
