Execute materials R&D test plans, formulate and prepare samples, operate 3D printers, mixers, analytical instruments, and other equipment, and document results, observations, parameters, and deviations. Maintain lab and production readiness, support engineers and scientists, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, propose experiments, and contribute observations to R&D decisions. The role requires hands-on work onsite, occasional extended hours or weekends, and compliance with ITAR export-control requirements.

Develop and mature R&D manufacturing processes from technical demonstration through production transfer. Responsibilities include designing experiments, analyzing process variation, establishing operating windows and controls, qualifying measurement methods, conducting risk assessments and FMEAs, documenting procedures, and supporting validation, training, and initial production. The role focuses on achieving repeatability, yield, capability, throughput, cycle time, cost, and commercial practicality in collaboration with R&D, equipment engineering, mechatronics, and production teams.

Develop and integrate electromechanical manufacturing equipment, controls, software, instrumentation, and data systems for novel additive and post-processing technologies. Responsibilities include prototyping, equipment modification, automation, troubleshooting, measurement-system development, process validation, and technical ownership from concept through handoff. The role collaborates across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, materials, and process engineering disciplines, and requires onsite work with occasional extended hours or weekends.

Design, develop, test, commission, and improve automated manufacturing equipment from concept through production. Evaluate vendors, perform failure mode analysis, troubleshoot production issues, implement engineering changes, and ensure equipment meets throughput, quality, safety, and reliability requirements. Collaborate with production and process engineering teams, document equipment for operators, and support commissioning and handoff into reliable production use.

Develops and improves production processes, equipment, automation, and workflows for aerospace manufacturing. The engineer supports design-for-manufacturability, low-rate-to-volume production transitions, throughput optimization, equipment uptime, process validation, and quality. Responsibilities include analyzing technical data, implementing automation, qualifying industrial equipment, and collaborating with production, engineering, operations, and technicians to improve factory execution and manufacturing reliability.

Coordinates company operations, executive calendars, meetings, business travel, interviews, onsite visits, and visitor experiences. Maintains schedules, trackers, documentation, and recruiting data while improving recurring workflows and processes. Partners with leadership, Talent Acquisition, candidates, suppliers, investors, and internal teams to resolve logistical issues, communicate changes, and ensure smooth execution. The role is onsite in El Segundo and may require extended hours or weekends.

Lead and scale the quality organization to ensure manufacturing reliability and compliance (AS9100/NADCAP/ISO), drive yield and defect reduction, own audits and corrective actions, develop QMS/MES/WMS processes, and manage cross-functional quality metrics and investigations.
