Supports aerospace manufacturing engineers with Lean manufacturing, plant layout, process mapping, tooling and fixture design, process documentation, equipment installation, process improvements, and operator training. The intern works hands-on across the office and shop floor to identify bottlenecks, improve product flow, maintain aerospace-compliant processes, and support safe, efficient production.

Engineering Intern supports aerospace component design through 3D CAD modeling, drawing updates, tolerance stack-ups, basic stress and mechanical analysis, performance evaluations, documentation, and engineering change records. The intern collaborates with design, manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams while developing practical mechanical and aerospace engineering skills. This is a year-round, part-time role for an enrolled engineering student.

Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across aerospace manufacturing operations. Facilitate kaizen events, analyze production processes and throughput data, eliminate waste, establish standard work, manage operational KPIs, and drive root-cause problem solving. Train employees and collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to implement measurable improvements in throughput, cost, quality, and delivery.

Lead quality for ISO Class 7 cleanroom aerospace hardware. Collaborate on design reviews, control contamination, perform root cause analysis (8D/5 Whys/Fishbone), host audits and customer readiness reviews, drive corrective actions and continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).
