Own Utah state-government business development and revenue growth for precipitation enhancement and water resource programs. Identify appropriations, grants, contracts, and pilot opportunities; manage capture plans; build relationships with legislators, agencies, water districts, and industry groups; shape supportive policy; coordinate public/private partnerships; support proposals and compliance; organize demonstrations and briefings; and report pipeline forecasts and market intelligence to leadership.

Design and prototype electrical subsystems for unmanned aerial systems, including PCB schematics and layouts, power distribution, sensor interfaces, payload controllers, and communications modules. Assemble and debug boards, develop testing procedures and fixtures, document designs, and collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams. The role supports mission-critical UAS subsystems and incorporates flight-test feedback into rapid hardware iterations.

Lead electrical system architecture and hardware design for UAS, sensing, and payload platforms. Design and prototype PCBs, perform board bring-up and testing, develop documentation, and guide systems through manufacturing. Work with embedded platforms, microcontrollers, high-speed digital systems, power and signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and low-level embedded programming. Mentor engineers and collaborate with mechanical, software, research, and manufacturing teams.

Leads business development for California state government customers, owning revenue targets and pipelines tied to appropriations, grants, contracts, and pilot programs. Builds relationships with legislators, agencies, water districts, and industry partners; shapes legislative and budget policies; develops public/private partnerships; supports proposals and procurement compliance; organizes demonstrations and stakeholder events; and reports market intelligence, pipeline forecasts, and strategic recommendations.

Support company planning and strategic initiatives by tracking priorities, budgets, headcount, milestones, and capacity. Coordinate cross-functional work across engineering, science, production, field operations, commercial, finance, and people teams. Develop operational processes, workflows, reporting systems, and decision-ready leadership analysis. Support business reviews and planning cycles while owning high-priority special projects.

Establish Rainmaker’s machine learning strategy and deliver operationally useful models for atmospheric science and cloud-seeding operations. Responsibilities include prioritizing ML opportunities, building forecasting and multimodal models, combining radar, satellite, UAS, and in-situ data, creating datasets and evaluation procedures, assessing uncertainty and failure modes, and collaborating with atmospheric scientists and software engineers to productionize successful research.

Own Rainmaker’s production infrastructure and security, including cloud systems, deployments, CI/CD, observability, identity and access, secrets, vulnerability management, incident response, and recovery. Build reliable 24/7 remote systems that tolerate lost communications, establish deployment and recovery standards, and support rapid software development across engineering, science, aircraft, and field operations.

Own development of airborne atmospheric sensing hardware from scientific requirements through architecture, design, fabrication, calibration, flight testing, validation, and production. Lead delivery of a cloud-particle imaging instrument for UAS deployment, coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and science teams, resolve integration issues, establish verification and acceptance procedures, and develop the company’s atmospheric-instrumentation roadmap.

Build and maintain full-stack software across internal tools, campaign planning, field operations, weather and geospatial data, aircraft operations, and customer-facing products. Work directly with users and cross-functional teams to identify problems, prototype solutions, and own products through deployment and continued development. Improve shared software components and technical patterns across the organization.

Supports mechanical engineering for UAS mission-critical subsystems through rapid hardware prototyping, test fixture design, FEA studies, technical documentation, and fabrication data preparation. Collaborates with electrical, software, manufacturing, and mechanical engineering teams. Uses SolidWorks, FEA, 3D printing, and prototyping methods to iterate designs based on flight-test feedback and mission requirements.
