Lead and direct the railroad signal engineering practice, setting technical strategy, standards, and priorities. Oversee design, integration, testing, commissioning, and delivery of wayside signals, interlockings, grade-crossing warning and signal control systems. Manage and develop engineering staff, support major projects, participate in client pursuits and industry forums, and ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and successful project execution.

Perform roadway worker protection on and around live railroad tracks as RWIC: coordinate dispatcher/train communications, conduct job briefings, set signs/derails, submit electronic reports, follow On Track Safety rules, and travel frequently across the Northern region.

Serve as Roadway Worker In Charge (RWIC) providing on-track safety and site protection for maintenance activities. Coordinate with dispatchers and crews, perform job briefings, communicate via radio, place signs and derails, complete electronic reports and forms, and travel frequently across the Midwest to support projects while enforcing railroad safety rules and procedures.
