Perform general diagnostic ultrasound exams (abdomen, pelvis, vascular, carotids, venous Doppler); prepare and position patients; operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; process and send images to PACS; complete records and communicate with supervisors, physicians, and co-workers.

Verifies insurance eligibility, referrals, pre-certifications, and prior authorizations for scheduled radiology exams. Documents authorization details in the EMR, calculates patient deductibles, coinsurance, copayments, and out-of-pocket costs, and communicates with patients, providers, and clinical staff. Supports front-desk operations as needed while maintaining accurate, timely, regulation-compliant work.

Prepares and reviews digital imaging studies and documentation for radiologist interpretation. The specialist verifies image quality, organizes images according to protocol, communicates with radiologists and technologists to resolve issues, and uploads paperwork into document management and PACS systems. This entry-level role requires computer literacy, attention to detail, multitasking, reliability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Training is provided for eligible candidates.
