Manage motor insurance recovery claims by investigating liability, identifying recovery opportunities, negotiating settlements, and pursuing recoveries through insurers, legal channels, or external providers. Ensure files comply with policies, authority limits, and regulations while delivering professional member service. Monitor performance, support continuous improvement, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Assess damaged motor vehicles and caravans, estimate repair costs, and recommend cost-effective claim settlements. The role manages repair processes, validates assessment reports, applies insurance and repair industry standards, and negotiates outcomes among RAC, members, and repairers. It also requires strong customer service, dispute resolution, reporting, and communication skills, supported by panel beating or spray painting trade experience and an unrestricted driver’s licence.

Manage complex home liability and recovery claims, including reinsurance activities, notifications, recoveries, and compliance with claims guidelines and insurance standards. Build relationships with legal advisors, solicitors, suppliers, members, and internal teams. Provide guidance to claims staff, identify process improvements, make sound commercial decisions, and deliver customer-focused service while managing difficult conversations and competing priorities.
