As an HIM Specialist at R1 RCM, you will be responsible for preparing, scanning, and organizing medical record information while maintaining patient confidentiality. Your tasks will involve data entry, chart retrieval, and quality control validation of medical records. Prior healthcare experience is not required as training will be provided. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Supervise team workflow and day-to-day activities, provide analytical expertise for revenue cycle management, identify workflow issues, monitor productivity, and adhere to key performance metrics. Coach team members, assign duties, track metrics, and troubleshoot client concerns. Proactively monitor work flow and productivity while promoting quality and efficiency.

Responsible for back-end cash posting function to ensure maximum revenue for clients. Tasks include posting payments, reconciling payer transmissions, and complying with regulatory requirements. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, computer literacy, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks. Desired qualifications include knowledge of UB-04 claim forms and hospital patient accounting systems. 1-2 years of back-end revenue cycle experience in facility and hospital setting preferred.
