Qantas Benefits Overview

Lead full-stack feature development for Qantas Loyalty, writing high-quality React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js software. Guide architecture and design decisions, identify and resolve code issues, apply automated testing and DevOps practices, and mentor other engineers. The role is permanent and based in Sydney, supporting customer-facing digital products across Qantas Loyalty’s retail businesses.

Owns the technical design and operation of Qantas’s enterprise AI platform. Builds production infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, MLOps capabilities, and AWS SageMaker and Bedrock solutions. Establishes secure, observable, governed, cost-transparent platform standards and self-service workflows. Provides technical leadership through design reviews, mentoring, and architecture guidance while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI workloads and GenAI capabilities.

Lead quality engineering across agile software teams by defining testing strategies, building scalable automation frameworks, embedding tests in CI/CD pipelines, and improving API, microservice, and distributed-system quality. Champion BDD and shift-left practices, mentor engineers, drive root-cause analysis, establish test data and environment strategies, and promote observability and testability across architecture and delivery processes.
