Supports electrical, optical, thermal, and mechanical characterization of photonic devices, packages, and assemblies. Develops test plans, operates laboratory equipment, analyzes data, supports DOE, reliability testing, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations. Creates automated Python-based test and analysis tools, prepares technical reports, maintains laboratory documentation and calibration records, and collaborates with product, packaging, reliability, process, and manufacturing engineering teams.

Leads the design, programming, commissioning, and operation of PLC-based controls for cryogenic infrastructure. Responsibilities include electrical and instrumentation systems, PLC and HMI development, safety interlocks, industrial networks, data acquisition, commissioning, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and system reliability. The role also provides technical leadership, mentors engineers and technicians, establishes controls standards, and supports global installations and cryogenic operations.

Leads research and development of fault-tolerant quantum algorithms, translating real-world computational challenges into algorithm specifications and implementations. Establishes benchmarks, analyzes asymptotic performance and resource requirements, and collaborates with compilation, applications, architecture, academic, and industry teams. The role includes guiding research programs, validating use cases, evaluating photonic quantum computing implementations, and communicating across technical disciplines.
