Teams at Protective Life

Prepare and analyze quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements for ~50 reinsurance companies; record and reconcile transactions; prepare tax returns and regulatory filings; partner with internal teams and shareholders; maintain documentation; respond to stakeholder inquiries; support special projects.

Serve as technical accounting advisor for complex transactions, lead adoption of new accounting standards, develop and communicate accounting policies, partner with cross-functional teams, support audits, provide training, and manage special projects to ensure U.S. GAAP and SAP compliance.

Support calculation, reconciliation, reporting, and administration of profit-sharing retrospective programs. Validate payouts, analyze financial data, prepare reports and documentation, assist audits, resolve discrepancies with cross-functional partners, and recommend process improvements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
