Manage live SOC cyber defense operations, including security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, threat hunting, SIEM administration, and security tool optimization. Oversee incident management workflows, service delivery, performance reporting, dashboards, executive summaries, and resource allocation. Serve as a strategic point of contact for Department of State leadership and ensure monitoring and response capabilities meet mission requirements.

Manage cybersecurity tool integration operations and lifecycle management, including deployment, configuration baselines, tuning, dashboards, upgrades, production integration, and vendor coordination. Oversee engineering deliverables and ensure implementations meet Department of State enterprise standards. The role requires extensive cyber engineering or tool-management experience, PMP certification, a bachelor’s degree, and an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret.

Provides strategic oversight of a live SOC, including cyber defense operations, monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, security tool management, SIEM optimization, reporting, and executive engagement. Ensures resources support monitoring, threat hunting, intelligence, and response missions while maintaining operational performance and service quality. The role requires federal security operations program management experience and coordination with Department of State leadership.
