Own the sourcing and procurement strategy for custom mechanical components, including supplier development, RFQs, negotiations, should-cost modeling, risk mitigation, and production readiness. Build and qualify suppliers across North America and Asia, support NPI and production scaling, manage long-lead items, and establish supplier performance processes. The role is an individual contributor initially, with potential to build a sourcing team.

Own real-time firmware for bidirectional DC/DC converters in safety-critical battery systems. Design and implement discrete-time control loops, protection functions, deterministic ISR and scheduler architectures, operating-mode arbitration, and portable control libraries. Bring up converter hardware, validate loop stability and transient performance, correlate models with measurements, and maintain simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, specifications, and certification evidence. Review embedded code and contribute to hardware design reviews involving sensing, ADCs, PWM, and protection paths.

Leads real-time firmware for bidirectional DC/DC converters, implementing control loops, compensators, protection logic, mode arbitration, deterministic ISR scheduling, and hardware abstraction. Brings up converter hardware, verifies firmware against control models, measures timing and performance, supports certification evidence, and leads code reviews and power conversion firmware architecture.
