Lead technical vision and system design for the Marketplace team while managing and coaching 3–5 engineers. Build scalable systems serving personalized offers, establish team processes, support onboarding, and improve collaboration across engineering, product, design, and data. The role combines engineering management with hands-on technical leadership in a remote-first startup environment.

The Staff Software Engineer will lead technical projects, develop full-stack software, mentor teams, and drive product direction at Propel, focusing on impactful solutions.

Develop positioning, messaging, customer-facing copy, go-to-market plans, and lifecycle strategies for consumer products serving SNAP recipients and Medicare users. Conduct audience research, shape product decisions, define success metrics, design experiments, and analyze adoption, engagement, conversion, and revenue data. Partner with Product, Lifecycle, Growth, Research, and business teams to drive product discovery, activation, retention, and repeat engagement.
