Provides patient-centered nursing care in an observation unit, including assessment, nursing diagnoses, care planning, implementation, evaluation, communication with families and healthcare teams, and collaboration to achieve patient care goals.

Performs routine, complex, and specialized sleep studies, including CPAP and Bi-level titrations, split-night studies, seizure studies, REM behavior studies, MSLT testing, polysomnography recordings, and oxygen titrations. Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment support for sleep disorders while working night shifts in the hospital Sleep Center.

Performs polysomnography support duties in a hospital sleep center, including assembling, operating, and troubleshooting diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. Records sleep studies using EKG, pulse oximetry, and EEG; educates patients about disease-specific care and home equipment; and follows hospital and sleep center procedures under leadership supervision. Requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and enrollment in or completion of a sleep credential program within one year.
