Develops, optimizes, validates, and executes analytical assays for recombinant therapeutic protein titer and quality. Performs protein characterization including intact mass, sequence confirmation, PTM, aggregation, charge variant, glycosylation, disulfide, and peptide mapping analyses. Operates and troubleshoots HPLC, FPLC, and mass spectrometry instrumentation; interprets results; documents methods, protocols, validations, and SOPs; and collaborates with R&D, bioprocess, cell line development, and external client teams.

Own and improve optical calibration processes for illumination hardware, conduct optical characterization and experiments in bioreactor environments, and analyze data to validate models and guide system design. Collaborate with hardware, software, biology, and bioprocess teams to connect light delivery with cell culture performance. The role includes laboratory optical system setup, troubleshooting, automation, modeling, documentation, and development of practical engineering recommendations.

Lead internal and client-facing biotechnology projects involving optogenetic capabilities, cell line development, process development, and preclinical scale-up. Responsibilities include project scoping, technical planning, resource forecasting, scheduling, cross-functional coordination, client communication, supplier collaboration, milestone reporting, dashboard creation, and development of project management standards. The role partners with R&D, technical operations, hardware, business development, and senior leadership to support commercialization and technical execution.

Architect and build a scalable software and controls platform connecting illumination hardware, firmware, cloud infrastructure, and internal tooling. Define interfaces, communication layers, and subsystem boundaries; collaborate with firmware, hardware, data, and bioprocess teams; establish engineering practices, deploy cloud-connected services, and contribute hands-on across the stack while shaping long-term technical direction.
